Bio / Resumee / Statement:
"PEPA HERRERA: THE POWER AND LIGHT"
Born in Seville, studied Fine Arts, where he was a teacher Francisco Maireles, Amalio Gomez del Moral, Justo Giron and Mauri, among others, but his rebellious nature leads him to express themselves artistically in a completely personal. Indeed, one can say that in its self-Pepa coexist with a vein certainly "savage", curious, self-taught half and half rebel. It will be why she says that "painting was born." Painting and poetry as well as the interplay of both art forms, are part of their motivation expressive, like the inclusion in the party more deeply into the psychological portraits, in his "soul". "My painting is intuitive, though not to say that this does not ripen after an idea is taking shape, taking on a life of its own, according to flourish in the middle is chosen material." The strength and passion of the emotions, those released and contained, are reflected in their works. Movement and expressiveness that penetrates directly into the spirit, bolstered by vibrant color and a touch stronger and safer. The subjective symbolism of dreams and the vicissitudes of the soul on its path of growth, are represented by allegorical images with precise and sometimes daily. Mixing styles in a single box, using them as a resource expressive depending on the intent and the message: his style ranges from post-impressionism to expressionism realistic by the intentional use of color as the "language" expressive, and the adoption of realism expressed in symbolic gestures and poses of his figures. He has participated in exhibitions organized by the Exc. Seville City Council for 3 consecutive years.
"PEPA HERRERA: LA FUERZA Y LA LUZ".
Nacida en Sevilla, cursó estudios de Bellas Artes, donde tuvo como maestros a Francisco Maireles, Amalio Gómez del Moral, Justo Girón y Mauri, entre otros, pero su rebeldía natural le lleva a expresarse artísticamente de una forma totalmente personal. Efectivamente, se puede decir que en Pepa coexisten su autodisciplina con una vena ciertamente "salvaje", curiosa, mitad autodidacta y mitad rebelde. Será por eso que ella dice que "nació pintando". La pintura y la poesía, asi como la interrelación de ambas manifestaciones artísticas, forman parte de su motivación expresiva, al igual que la inclusión en la parte psicológica mas profunda en los retratos, en su "alma". "Mi pintura es intuitiva, aunque no quiere decir esto que no madure una idea previa que va tomando forma, cobrando vida propia, conforme va desarrollándose en el medio material elegido". La fuerza y la pasión de las emociones, las liberadas y las contenidas, son reflejadas en sus obras. Movimiento y expresividad que penetra directamente en el espíritu, reforzados por un color vibrante y una pincelada firme y segura. La simbología subjetiva de los sueños y los avatares del alma en su camino de crecimiento, son representados de forma alegórica con imágenes precisas y a veces cotidianas. Mezcla estilos en un mismo cuadro, utilizándolos como recurso expresivo dependiendo de la intención y del mensaje: su estilo va desde el post-impresionismo hasta el expresionismo realista por la utilización intencionada del color como "lenguaje" expresivo, así como la adopción de un realismo simbólico manifestado en los gestos y poses de sus figuras. Ha participado en exposiciones organizadas por el Exc. Ayuntamiento de Sevilla durante 3 años consecutivos.

rasgando su naturaleza,
dividiendo en contornos
la simpleza de la percepción.
Soy yo la que habla

La vida aparente
Observa, desde su atalaya virtual
El tiempo caduco...
No existe en el azul
Mas que el presente.
La realidad discreta
Que se oculta, valiente,
El ojo que la ve
Moviendo su conciencia
Al universo...
¿Qué ve si me mira el ser inerte?
Se disuelve, en su estructura, el tiempo...
